You've seen it before you get there.
Keja means house. Every KejaVu badge means a real person checked that the house, the owner and the photos are real, so the place feels familiar when you arrive.
Three badges, each one harder to fake
Badges stack. A site-verified listing has passed all three checks.
Level 1
ID verified
We check who you are dealing with.
The lister's national ID or passport is checked against the government registry for their country. A name that doesn't match never gets a badge.
Owner fee KSh 500 · valid 90 days
Level 2
Ownership verified
We check they have the right to rent or sell.
Our team reviews the title deed, lease or land rates receipt. Agents must upload a signed mandate from the owner, so rogue brokers can't list places they don't control.
Owner fee KSh 1,500 · valid 90 days
Level 3
Site verified
We go there, in person.
A trained KejaVu verifier visits the property, checks rooms, water, power and access, and takes GPS-stamped photos on site. Submissions more than 150 m from the pin are rejected automatically.
Owner fee KSh 3,500 · valid 90 days
What our verifier checks on site
- Rooms and layout match the listing
- Running water available
- Power / electricity connected
- Access road and entrance as described
- Listing photos match the property
- Owner or agent present with ID
- Fresh photos, stamped with GPS and time
Verifiers are KejaVu staff or vetted freelancers assigned by area. We randomly send a second verifier to re-check approved listings, and badges expire after 90 days unless renewed.
