How can we help?
Everything about verified listings, paying safely and what to do if something feels off.
What does "Verified" mean on KejaVu?
There are three levels. ID verified: we checked the lister's national ID or passport. Ownership verified: we reviewed the title deed, lease or agent mandate. Site verified: a KejaVu verifier visited, GPS-stamped the photos and confirmed the amenities.
How long does a verification last?
Verifications are valid for 90 days. Each badge shows the date it was checked, and listings must be re-confirmed to stay up.
Should I ever pay a viewing fee?
Never. Viewings on KejaVu are free. If anyone asks for a viewing fee or a deposit before you have seen the place, report the listing. We act within 24 hours.
How does escrow protect my deposit?
When you reserve or book, your money is held by KejaVu, not the lister. It is released only after you confirm move-in or check-in. The escrow fee is 2%.
What is the KejaVu Guarantee?
If a verified place is not as described, or the lister turns out not to have authority to rent or sell it, you can file a claim and we refund the money held in escrow.
Why are contact details hidden?
To stop rogue brokers. You chat inside KejaVu, and contacts are shared once a viewing is booked.
Can agents list on KejaVu?
Yes. Agents must upload a mandate from the owner for each property, and their listings are labelled "Agent". Owner-listed places are labelled "Owner-listed".
Which countries does KejaVu cover?
We started in Kenya and add countries as local verifiers come on board. Prices always show in the local currency.
